To Love
It came soaked in tears
Covered in blood
And weighted by fears
It came fallen and broke
Alone and unsure
Clung only to hope
It came from a long, winding road
Lost and misguided
Yet, onward it strode
It devoured despair
And picked up the heart
That lied beneath there
It quietly crept into mind
Called itself “love”
And left “ugly” behind
