On some stories I’ve read I’ve seen a little box on the top right saying ‘inspired by’ dah dah dah… I looked and looked all over to find where it was to instigate it, and eventually, after a fruitless search, I realised it could only be done autimatically when a sequel was written.
I know some people appreciate to know where a story came from, as do I, and I wanted to do it for this one because most people would have no idea how the title connects to the story.
Ron Hawkins, lead singer / songwriter of great Canadian band The Lowest of The Low, wrote a song called ‘For The Hand of Magdalena" that had the first line from my story in it. I’ve always loved the song, and the line has always impressed me as a great bit of writing, and I wanted to use it in a piece, so now I have.
