“Silence,” The man standing in front of him narrowed his eyes into burnt shades of coal, and his voice was ever authoritative. “You try to soften me with that pathetic chew.” He drew his lip back and scoffed, “ A wife and children. Mmm, and what man doesn’t fear for his wife and children once he’s gone? You think you’re any different?!” He snarled his words and saw the clearly rueful frown on the man’s face. “Enough of this, you have betrayed your council and fled from the law far too long.”
Aaron’s eyes glinted in their tyrannical way, and he stepped back to flick a leaf from his shoulder and straighten his thick leather gloves on his hands, which reached nearly up to his elbows. He folded his arms over his chest and looked the man over.
