Wailing Seasons PROLOGUE pt. 4
Despite the man’s blabber, Aaron started in a low voice, gathering the crowds attention and nodding for two of his men to grab Sadon and hold him by his arms. They managed to pick him up a bit, settling him on his knees in the cold dirt. Sadon, head hanging and bobbing a moment as he sobbed, finally lifted his head and stared up at Aaron with glassy eyes. Sadon began mouthing words, pleading and begging even though his voice had left him. The man was shaken a bit by the two guards who held him, and he continued to wheeze and sputter as Aaron began his ceremonial speech.
“In the name of Joseph, of the house of Darkbolt, the first of his name, Caretaker of Redstone, watcher and protector of the realm, I, Aaron, of the house of Darkbolt, the first of his name, Lord of Redwolfe and the warden of the East, sentence you to death.”
