Lol Elsha’s in love =). I too expected a tragic finale, but a happy ending is welcome too. I feel like your third and fourth lines are going in the wrong direction (week, year, lifetime)…would suggest: "…not know you a life ago, a year ago or even a fortnight ago – " if that doesn’t ruin the style. I just feel that it’s making time go backwards. Hmmm…

Before I tie my brain in knots…this is truly beautiful. A very refreshing account of love and it’s affect.

In reference to your comment, Abby, I wanted it to go backwards, because the person in question feels like someone I’ve always known, perhaps even in a past life. Yeah, this just might be based on personal experience. blush

might flow better as:"And the imprint of your touch just like a flame " or "And the imprint of your touch – like a flame "

Hang in there, Wednesday! I swear to you, the second you get accustomed to your loneliness, someone new seems to instantly appear. It seems like when you want it to happen and expect it to, it doesn’t. At least it was that way for me. Life is funny like that.

But it’s quite amazing how you captured new love completely. Like Abby and THX, I was waiting for that tragic twist, but I’m glad it wasn’t there – the piece is better without it. It wrenched at my heart nostalgically.

I like how simultaneously innocent and knowledgable the tone is. Like the last two lines, it really captures the clean slate of life in this situation. Lovely, as always.
