Wow! Betrayal cuts deep. I had to read this several times (and I’m still not sure if I got all the inferences through imagery) to understand what was happening. Each time, I felt more of the pain, hurt, and anger of one who loves and is not loved in return, is in fact betrayed. The repetition of the intro at the conclusion gives the message an in your face punch. Very emotive and very powerful writing.
