An Untitled Poem
Drowning in your eyes
Warm puddles of green.
The water looked so inviting
but now I’m drowning in you.
To silence my choking cries
Merely close your emerald eyes.
Darkness and silence,
I think I’d rather be buried.
If you keep me captive inside
Expect the worst of my soul.
Any innocence you held dear
Would be torn to fragments.
To piece together a look-alike.
Speak like you and touch like you
But instead of being the victim,
I’d make the copy my own.
