Lisa is in the rain
Meredith was looking upwards, staring into the deep gray sky. The clouds were static and the rain felt mildly, but cold. She touched her own face to dry out all the rain drops that were writing on her skin and looked forward. The locked gate also eyed her, but it wasn’t interested in the girl’s sympathy.
“Lisa, is daddy coming back?”, she asked with a twisting expression that compressed the cheeks towards her nose. “Is he?”, insisted the youngest to no response. Lisa was still looking to the horizon where Mr. Kevin Brushwood disappeared with such aggressive speed and passive emotion. “No, Meredith”
“But… but Lisa is in the rain”, the small yellow thing replied stomping her feet into the water that flowed towards the gutter. The drops were happy to jump back into the air, but many of them felt intense despair when they noticed how easily they evaporated even in this watery conditions. “We’ll just have to wait here until the gates are open”, explained Lisa to her sister. “There is nothing else we can do.”
