I took an Able Bodied Seaman’s course, this was fun to write, fun to tap some of that knowledge and experience.

Lots of realistic detail here, so I wasn’t entirely sure what everything meant. That worked fine though as what came across clearly was a steadily developing mystery, that something had happened, something more than grandpa simply walking away from the boat.
