I got myself confused which duo we were talking about, but I think that’s my own fault for being a bit fatigued. Plus we are dealing with a story about two friends copied into two robots, so some confusion is inevitable.

That’s why I try to make it clear which one’s the scooter when I write. It also helped to go back and reread the original thread before continuing. :)

Also something I just noticed: What’s stopping someone from writing a prequel to a scene that ALREADY had a prequel?

That could break the intended flow… maybe… depends…

There’s nothing at all preventing it. That’s part of the point of the site. In theory, there can be zillions of writers on any given story, expanding it in all different directions.

In practice, most ficlets are extremely lucky if they get even one sequel.
