I’m a sucker for a slice of life story and this scratched every itch. You infused subtext and hinted at backstory but only gave enough to let our imaginations run with the rest. The only flaw is you ended on a cliche. But it doesn’t take anything away from the rest of the story so I’ll let it pass :)

This story reminded me of the prose version of Nick cave and the bad seeds. Minimalist, yet complete.
