Always changing, rarely grand,
Watching the time tick by on the minute hand,
It can’t stop on command.

Sometimes you feel weak,
and maybe even bleak,
Heck, even a freak,
So to speak.

Take the good with the bad,
We’re all writing with non-erasable ink on a notepad,
Notepad of life, emotions bestirred – just a tad,
Ferociously writing – like mad.

You have to take life one step at a time,
Life can change on a dime,
Just keep on the climb,
Life, sure enough, isn’t part-time.

Use your brakes,
