Hunter: This Isn't Fair

Carlie, He called, voice just for me as his eyes were as well, Carlie… His voice was of a deep timbre, and he smiled, baring sharp white fangs that somehow… Didn’t seem threatening. Carlie, honey, come here. The command was sweetened, and I felt my fur stand on end. He was so… Beautiful. I heard Mack snarl, but everything was slowed and so sugary, everything was masked and so shiny, so pretty. Mack’s harsh voice was a horrible contrast to this gorgeous world, as he snapped, Carlie! No. Don’t go near him! And like that, the spell was contaminated.

Darkness rushed into the edges of the shimmering world, ruining the effect as ice shattered in my veins, and I began to shiver. Ice blue and jade green swirled and mixed, a sickening combination that made me want to vomit. Muscles flexed under fur, and I heard snarling and snapping as Mack and Jason rushed forward to meet each other. The fight between the Alpha and the Beta had begun, but I could do naught to help either. Breath faltering, I blinked.
