Read and done, good sir. Glad I could abide by the community standards to the letter. Working with other writers and being immersed and contributing to a communal narrative is what fuels me as a writer and I thank Ficly for offering me the opportunity. If, by your link, you were not complimenting my conduct and implying a violation of these standards, I have posted the relevant standard below. This should clear any doubts regarding my artistic status as a writer.
“Be creative. One of the great things about Ficly is that you can help others develop their stories or take them in totally new directions. Write sequels and prequels to other peoples’ stories and help develop a communal narrative. It’s a great way to try out a new style or write something without starting from scratch.”
Thank you. I posted the link not because I was implying a violation of the standard, but because I failed to see the relevance of not just your prequel but also the sequel to the original story. I have read the batman storyline and I felt that the two stories you posted would have fitted there more than here and that by prequelling and sequeling in this way you were being malicious more than artistic.
I’m sorry if I offended you in any way.
Hopefully we can put this incident behind us now and continue writing some good stuff.
