A bit on the title. A great present I got this year for Christmas was something called “The Storymatic.” It’s a box of cards where if you draw a couple of yellow cards you get your characters for your story. Drawing from the orange cards in the set gives you situations, settings, or props, and you use both sets of cards to set up a prompt for a story. My tags above are the cards I’ve drawn for this story, and I’ll likely be using this game to come up with more stories in the future as well…
This is a neat little story, I’m going to look for that card. We had a challenge awhile back where we had to use a character generator, turned out to be one of my better stories.
I would like to suggest you edit some of the names out, they aren’t needed at all, makes it too confusing, I almost didn’t want to finish the story, the rest is spot on.
(Example only, and more room to add more elements) He still had two hours to make it to his Aunt’s. His cousin had texted him at halftime telling him she invited one of her hot friends over for (to?) New Year’s. So his pre-New Year’s resolution was to be standing next to the hot one when midnight struck and it was time for his first kiss of the year.
