underwater ADVENTURE

When I was a little kid, grade one I think, they made us write stories. Published in a neat little booklet with those little metal bindings, my mom helped the teacher put them together. The whole thing was about a guy who had this submarine shaped like a giant shark, and the adventures he had.

No sharks bothered him, because he was the biggest shark.

After the story was over, I try to think of what happened to him. Left the ocean, became a drunk etc. etc.

I’ve been gathering information on him (name not remembered), a man named Charlie told me about their time together.

They met soaking wet on the beach (he, emerging from the shore covered in something black)

“Are you alright?”

He just kept walking

“I asked you if you were alright. Get back here! Are you alright?”

He turned

“Have you seen my ship?”, after that he passed out. Charlie wiped all of the gunk off of his body, still no clue what it is. It’s still there actually, on the beach.

Charlie began to cry, I never heard the end of the story.
