Bad Unicorn!
I read about a troll who lived under a bridge, outside the quaint village of Ficly. It shouted t0 all, (listening or not) “I am a member to many online communities, and I love to go on the computer.”
But the innocent Ficleteers thought this was only bad grammar, and minded their way. But no, this strange person would sneak into Ficly, and make pee and poo on the inhabitants computers.
No more screens twinkled on shouting, You’ve got a new note, You’ve got a new challenge entry or, You’ve got a new comment.
One day, a Ficliteer named Abby noticed how quiet the town had become, the silence was deafening. Abby came up with a brilliant plan and rallied her community. In short order, the stranger who warned “I love to go on the computer”, disappeared.
The small community of Ficly is still open to all wanderers. I should know, I happened by a year ago, afraid to write. But through gentle yet honest critiques and mentoring, here I am, writing about a community I’ve fallen in love with.
Aw, go on!
