Love it. The story is developing nicely with this bit introducing his sense of humor, sense of being a bit on the dramatic side, an air of mystery with the new position, and the fact that he’s in therapy. Awesome cramming all that in there and doing it quite smoothly at that.

I like Alton more and more! Let’s see how many times he can wake up.

Change your I to he; Maybe he would.

I like the flow, but I try to stay away from 180 degree turns. Introducing the therapist this early on set’s the tone that more severe changes might be made to the story line. If they do, then I would suggest making it an underlying theme.

But, as a stand alone too, it works great.
