It was almost perfect. Simon surveyed his masterpiece while walking around it. A 360 degree perspective would reveal any flaws in the structure. Just need one more skinny white piece that is three prongs long. He scrambled through the large bin in search of the required plastic block. There’s one! Whew. Relief warmed his mind. The last thing he would want to do is tear the building down due to some inconsistency.

He carefully grasped at the tiny white brick clutching it in his fingertips.Got it. Just need to move one other piece to fit it in nicely…and…there we go.

Oops. Dropped it. Crap!

These oddly shaped pieces were always getting lost under his dresser. Who knows how many had disappeared.

Simon crawled underneath it in search of the missing block. There should be hundreds down here, he thought. He searched frantically. Nothing.

Then. His eye saw where the carpet met the wall. A seam had opened up. He pulled on it to reveal a passageway.

What the?

A stairway led down to a chamber.

“My LEGOs!”
