A severe example of Constraint writing, kind of like the “no E” challenge.
My constraint; Moonlight.
It’s all an anagram of Moonlight, the entire poem is based on words within Moonlight, that, in the end, really explain what moonlight is. I’m using the words found within Moonlight to describe what happens in Moonlight. I also try to explain what moonlight does and how it acts.
@August: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for your knowledge!
Dear Family, August recognized my desire to create movement and sent me this wonderful fix:
“If you have the characters available, you can use em- and en-spaces. An em-space is traditionally the width of an ‘m’ character and you can insert it into your text using the character sequence “ ” (excluding the quotes). An en-space is narrower and the character sequence is “ ”. As you can see, each such space comes at a cost of 6 characters. With these, you can indent lines where you can’t do this with normal spaces, as I’m sure you discovered. You also get a fair bit of control over the indentation width itself."
So, instead of periods, I created the spaces I wanted using “m”. I then counted each “m” and replaced them with &emsp.
