I like the mood and the idea, especially there in the last little paragraph. I wasn’t so sure about the 2nd person perspective, especially with the switch back and forth between regualr 2nd person and imperative (I think that’s the word for that command form of 2nd person). It mostly works. Maybe I’m just being picky.

I sleep fitfully like this almost every night, except half of the problem IS the other person in the bed. :)
Can’t relate to the aiming for the toilet though. ;)
I love that you hit on the reality that humans are social beings, because the ‘concept’ you are missing is the perfect person for you. It’s a conundrum!

I tend to agree with THX, the back and forth was a bit jaring. Other than that, I really liked the tone of the story.

This is excellent. Incredibly relate-able and very deep. My favorite line is “You wake up sometimes, and remember some of your dreams. They are easy to interpret, and that is annoying.” Brilliant.
