It Isn't What We Have
If you could have one thing, one dream
That could come true,
What would it be?
A mate who loves you,
Friends that will always be there,
Those are dreams worth chasing.
We all have hopes we keep inside,
Thoughts that are always haunting.
Would you cheat or lie
If it could mean gaining
What means the most to you?
Or would you sink so low
As to take another life?
It isn’t just the goal that matters,
There’s no justification, no reason
To decide not to care
About anyone but yourself.
It isn’t what we have that defines us,
It’s the choice’s that make us who we are.
