Excellent use of subjective third person! I enjoy it immensely when a story is so thoroughly fabricated from the character’s perspective such that every sentence is an expose of their interior. You also use it well as a method for implying information about the world.
My only suggestion is to put a comma after the word “Afterall” at the end of the first paragraph. I think it would support the flow of the sentence better.
