This is so heartfelt. It turned out very well. The last sentence of the fourth to last paragraph is extremely meaningful. I think I can relate to this situation. Well done. :)

First non poetry thing I’ve written in a while too.

True friendship and true love have no time limits, be it a day or a lifetime. Sometimes the pit we fall into is the one we created by digging a trap full of future expectations. Where do you see yourself (or the one you love) five years from now? I hate that question.

I hate that question too, it has no answer.
