I think this sentiment is multi-layered. It is all true and therefore obvious on the surface level.

Very untrue and therefore ironic at a deeper level.

And then very very true and therefore profound at a level deeper still.

And sometimes there’s a third, even deeper level, and that one is the same as the top surface one. Like with pie.
