Time Traveling Man II

So full of soul, but parading around with empty eyes
I won’t stay in one place, my weakness I will disguise
I’m a time travelin’ man with a stay at home wife
She won’t ever understand, but that’s all right

Freeloading time hopper, smirk on my face
I don’t believe I’m part of the human race
Reliving what’s lost, remixing the past
This trip just can’t be the last

Easy come and easy go
I used to be happy, but that was long ago
I don’t tell the truth, I tell only lies
I don’t make friends so I never say goodbye

I travel far to travel wide
And none of it’s a waste of time
Children leave their houses, stop me on the street
Their eyes meet mine, they know I’m incomplete.

I’ll never slow down, I’ll never stop going
I’d miss seeing the stars a-glowing
My wife, she’ll never understand
This is just the way I am, that this was always planned
