Funny turn of events there at the end, ‘small horse’ and ‘burrito’ as perhaps ‘small burro’ in Spanish. It’s a nice scene and well told, though I have no idea why the italics are there.

In my original draft i switched perspective between tom and jose, and a narrator (italics). That got too confusing so i cut it out, but i never removed the italics.

I removed the italics, looked at it again, and decided that I actually do prefer it with the italics. I don’t know why.
