it’s kind of an inner turmoil thing he’s got going on. I really like it though. it’s like he says she’s pretty and then says she’s not ugly and that she nervously laughs at his jokes that no one else laughs at but yet it puts him on edge. obviously someone has some commitment issues haha.
I really enjoy the inner turmoil in a story centered around just a few moments, looking introspectively for understanding to your emotions. I think you missed out the word do in this sentence: “Maybe it had to with her lack of confidence”
