Very poetically tragic. I think it fits the challenge well that it sort of straddles fantasy, psychodrama, drama, and romance while not really committing to any one of them. Even in the uncertainty, the narrator’s discomfort and uncertainty come though really well.

I agree with THX, you can see this Ficly as nothing and everything which is perfect for the challenge. It confused me all the way through. But in a good way.
