This immediately brings to mind two wonderful characters from The Song of Ice and Fire series but, of course, it beautifully sums up any spymaster’s meeting. Nicely done!

I should really read tags first. I actually counted syllables to see if you were doing a haiku, silly me.

I like it. Could describe lots of things but has that central element of discordance involved in the traditional haiku, though not the usual focus on nature. Nicely done.

I’m glad it has the feel of a haiku, since it isn’t nature oriented. I find it much more challenging and enjoyable to write that way.
although when I started I was thinking of wild cats, lions in particular. Just gave it a slightly wider scope I guess. Not quite sure how it turned out this way, but I like it.

Lions to spy masters, that’s a strange jump in thought. Kind of funny now that I think about it…
