a day in the life of myself
I woke up when my alarm went off, at 5:45 AM. My head was pounding, my nose was running, and I was sure I had a fever, even though I didn’t.
I wrote a note for my mom, telling her I was staying home from school, and I went back to bed.
I woke up again at about 10:30 AM, feeling slightly better and ambitious. If I’m going to waste the day away at home, I might as well get some sort of productivity out of it, right?
I made a list of the ten things I had to do today. Three things for biology, one for math, two for English, one for Spanish, one for history, and two for my foods class.
And then I sat down with my textbooks and stared at the paper.
Nothing happened.
I picked up my pen and put it to the paper.
Nothing happened.
I stood up, ate, and tried again.
Nothing happened.
I took an Adderall (which had not been prescribed for me), and tried again.
Nothing happened.
And here I sit, ten hours later, and nothing happened.
And tomorrow I’ll have to go to school and face the wrath of my teachers’ disappointment.
