Climb to the highest point you can find. Fling your arms wide. Feel the winds of the world whip around your life.

Are you there? Then yell. Scream. Let your soul out into the fresh air through your vocal chords and let rip. Don’t worry about people hearing you. Let self-consciousness take a hold and you may as well sit at home and hum. Release every emotion and thought in your body in one, powerful yell. It can be long or short, a word or just a primal roar. All that matters is that it is long, and loud.

Now, as you stand on this windy hilltop, watching your shout pour out over the world, take a moment to enjoy the feeling of release. Inhibitions melt away. Somewhere down below, a dog barks.

Breathe in deep.

1…2…3…

And out again.

Now, everything that hurt, confused, worried or frightened you is no longer something to be feared. It has been shared with the world.
