This piece has a wonderful flow to it. I like the dialogue, highlighting the respectful nature of the young hero and the slight arrogance of the sage. Or brilliance of him. ‘The Sage turned, and the motion carried the gravity of suns’ is a great, great line.
There’s an air of beauty to it … a series of pictures stitched together. The beginning and ending are particularly evocative.
I like that the Sage wears green. Not sure why. I just do.
