I like this a lot, the line about the horse having other ideas is wonderful. It’s lines like that, ones that a character speaks, that tell me almost everything I need to know about the character. I appreciate your ability to perform that feat.

This is a great scene. Read the other, and you’ve re-written it and expanded it into the realm of possibility for a longer work. It now feels more like glancing into a moment in time in someone’s story.
