I wrote this sequel to Ben’s piece in order to reflect the themes he touched upon, but with a different slant.

Charlie is very different from Warren. She’s had a good upbringing and had everything handed to her on a plate. Despite this, she meets the same fate as Warren.

I loved Ben’s piece and wanted to add an extra dimension whilst paying direct lip service to the original and keeping very much to its theme. I just hope I’ve done it justice!

Definitely something we see often enough to make the story ring true…the perfectionist go-getter who “has it all” yet feels empty inside. Dark but a nice compliment to Ben’s piece. And I don’t usually like stories with suicide, but this worked.

I don’t think I could say anything that wouldn’t sound trite or ridiculous. Instead I shall just say this: Superbly done. :)
