No, no. Writing I have not forsaken. However, I don’t think that it is detrimental to realize that in some situations, certain things in life are not to be, and thus should not be continued. After all, if one’s value is not contingent on the deeds they do, it theoretically would not harm a person to decide to cease a certain type of activity, be it artistic or otherwise.
