My brother and I were recently discussing what constitutes a work as poetry instead of prose, especially in this era of free verse where rhyme and structural meter are no longer necessary components. We eventually agreed that the one aspect consistently present in poetry was its textual formatting, as a way of directing flow and providing an engaging aesthetic experience.
No other author on ficly best exhibits this than you. Your poetry is always so carefully arranged on the page, as if you write it visually as much as linguistically. Combined with the smooth procession of rhyming syllables, it creates an exceedingly powerful poetic experience. I would love to see continued work in this vein.
