Interesting as most people believe thinking about death is unhealthy. I suppose it is the obsession with death that is unhealthy rather than the subject matter itself.
I have those thoughts too- even to the point of picking out which songs I want played at funeral. It’s nice to know that I’m not crazy either- or at least not for THAT reason. Well done.
Thinking about death a lot doesn’t have to be an emo thing either, at least not all the time. It’s one of those fascinating and timeless topics that has been pondered about at great length by an extraordinary amount of people who are living and who have actually passed themselves. It touches everyone, leaving no soul unturned.
Normally I am more concerned with the deaths of people I care about than my own. I suppose it’s because I know I won’t be there for mine, as much as I’d like to “sit in the rafters,” as Elsha said.
