Aquila Blue Label
It wasn’t unusual to locate production in deep space. Faster than light travel was already very common and huge swathes of natural resources could be found in nebulae, comets and the like. It was, however, unusual for Ms Linhart to make such a large investment in a young venture without carefully observing their operations; she had sent me to carry out due diligence after the initial outlay. ‘Stable door’ came to mind.
Upon arrival I informed the proprietor that my boss would not be making the ten-thousand light year trip herself. “Of course” he nodded “She has already sampled our products. This way please.”
“We are currently in the gas cloud G34.3. It contains a huge amount of Ethyl Alcohol which we separate from the various hazardous chemicals and infuse into our beers to create our unique flavour”.
“Forgive me, Mr Garcia” I asked sardonically “but isn’t alcohol itself tasteless?”
With a wry smile he gave me a glass containing a dark brew.
To this day I have never tasted anything like it.
