Avis E. Webb's Academy: P.E.
It was cold, windy, and Mrs. Hyem was being absolutely insufferable. The wind was throwing my bolts off as they sailed to their targets, which made Mrs. Hyem scream all sorts of abuses. I hurried over to my target, which was a four-inch wide wood beam, and collected my projectiles before some other kid could steal them. They were signed by Admiral Parthena Corley herself so they were enviable.
I ran back to my post and picked up my emerald green crossbow before Mrs. Hyem could say something about my pounding feet which I was sure she could hear even on the other side of the field.
I wasn’t fast enough and Mrs. Hyem hollered out, “Seth Delamore! You’re walking like an elephant!”
I could hear snickers around me and my cheeks flushed as I gritted my teeth. I loaded my weapon and fired three bolts. They’re all perfect shots and the laughter dies. I wasn’t sure but I thought I saw Daniel grin next to me as he trained with his own bow. After practice, Mrs. Hyem ordered us to pack up and head inside for lunch.
