Sounds like an empathic ability rather than mind reading, doesn’t it? And at this point it might simply be an intuition rather than a “super power”.

So, the only thing I have a problem with on this part of the story is that she happened to have brought a cup of tea with her while she ran two miles to stop her friend from committing suicide. Really? She brought it with her on her two mile run and it didn’t spill? Seems just a little silly to me, but it might work… somehow.
