The time was called Eternal Winter by all who lived in that era, for the global warming had melted ice caps and plunged Earth into a miniature ice age. Energy, heat, electricity, and any other source of power was being sucked up by the freezing people of earth.

Soon, of course, the power sources were running out, the bitter cold had begun to freeze power plants, electrical lines, and factories. Energy was becoming an endangered species and the nations began to fight for the remaining scraps of nuclear power, eletrical heating, and sources of fossil fuels. The arguments became more panicked and greedy as the Eternal Winter began claiming lives by the hundreds of thousands, sending them to icy graves.

The United Nations was dismantled in arguments and debates & suddenly, the world was plunged into World War III. The countries fought for decades. Then, the population was down to two billion, and ice age melted. Humanity made peace and steadily progressed, blotting out their ugly past and mass suicide attempt.
