Diaries of Ashland 2
December 14th, 2012 cont.
We all scrambled to the windows and a waitress motioned a person inside as she tried to shut the door. I saw a raggedy teenage running in, holding his pants so they wouldn’t fall, and made it in just before the smoke came. We saw it coming, the elderly couple’s dog was barking and shuddering. The wind blew hard, I was afraid the building would collapse. Then came the horrifying part. I saw a woman with a stroller running up to the diner, but she didn’t make it. I saw her skin starting to bubble and blister, her wretched scream shattering the sound barrier. Her skin wasted away and all was silent. For a short moment I was glad I couldn’t see inside the stroller, but a few moments later it started rolling down the hill. I saw a huge truck speeding down the hill adjacent to the stroller, sparks flying behind its melted wheels.
