I would like to see what you can do to make this more real. It is well done, but it can come off as a diary entry.
I do not there needs to be so much explanation to something that so many of us understand so well.

It is most certainly a diary entry, in every way. Its not just a struggle to deal with anymore, its a struggle to not let it consume every waking moment. Even when we know its better this way.
And its not explanation so much as convincing ourselves we can get past it. Anyway.
