The Cha-Cha Disaster
I worked my way back through the crowd, readying myself for another spin with my partner. My head held high, I knew how well we were doing. I felt like the queen of the dance floor, despite the fact that it was my first time in a competitive dancing environment.
“We will go one more time” he said. I nodded again. I was so excited. I had never felt so alive. Just then the music got faster and so did the cha-cha-cha’s. My partner took my hand and the crowd held their breath in anticipation. However the increase in speed had taken me slightly by surprise and I was slightly off balance. As my partner spun me around again I completely lost my footing and went stumbling back into another couple. The crowd let out a little gasp.
‘’Oh I am so sorry’’ I said. I had completely ruined their routine. The girl gave me a glare as her partner brushed himself off. I smirked back at her, then turned to walk back to my partner failing to notice her outstretched foot planted on the hem of my skirt. ‘’Rrriiiiippppp…’’
