Was she the one most qualified, or is he just obsessed with his ‘discovery’? It seems that he is upset because she is not the one, but he could also be upset because she is the one and he doesn’t want a possible relationship to ruin the job.

Nicely written, and I loved the ending. Funny twist that the observant superior knows about the time overlap but not the full-on marriage.

I had to read twice to get it. Great concept, excellent execution.
