Audrey G. Burnett: A Request
“I want to leave. Teach me to operate an ornithopter.” Audrey said quietly, eyes pleading.
“No.” Crow grimaced.
“Why?!” Audrey frowned, biting back a swear word the people here used. She shuddered.
“You almost died coming here. And you wanna risk your life again? Not to mention that you are not the only person who has wanted to leave. There were others in the past. None of them survived. Is that what you want to do? End your life?” He ened harshly.
Audrey flinched, “No. But you are the best pilot here. I know you can teach me! I can’t be happy here. I just can’t.”
“Where else would you go!?” He asked, agitated.
“Back home. To my friends. I could manage to find my way back through that Fold. The hardest part would be the Fire Cyclones.” Audrey said with nonchalance.
Crow sighed, pinching his eyes closed with his index and thumb, “It would take a bit to teach you everything. If you are so determined, I might as well teach you as best as possible so you don’t kill yourself.”
