I love this! There is an adult sensibility to the poetry of prose that really drives home a sense of beauty even if it is not describing a single thing. It is a universal beauty set in ones and zeros for all to see.
And on a personal note it is really good to see you again MH!
There is a hopefulness in the memories coated in rosy fog that permeates into the future, even if it is most flimsy and delicate. On the precipice indeed.
And a sublime piece to come back on; from the challenge I was expecting something…sugary, rose-tinted instead you’ve written something beautiful but painful, and like Elsha already said, hopeful.
Welcome back, Ed. I finally got a chance to sit down and read this… It’s gorgeous. Truly wonderful, and it is seeped in sentimentality; looking back through rose tinted spectacles when the only way through is to look forward, even though moving ahead is difficult: the wind is against us. But that’s life. We try; do; are. I’m so glad to have you back MH
Your vocabulary is far better than mine good sir. I knew all the words, but I was taken aback by them all used so cleverly and together. Needless to say, if I had written this it would have been much less concise.
