Careful What You Ask For

“You’re being given a glimpse,” the anonymous voice declared.

Of what?

“Of the return to the source.” it finished.

Where’s Clay? How come I can’t see myself? Who are you?

The voice started again, “Clay is now apart of the source. You have vacated the mortal realm to bond with the source. I am a guide to the source. Apart of you, apart of all.”

This time the anonymous voice invaded my thoughts making a statement which resonated through to my very soul.

Naturally cautious of the deep, though water cleanses the spirit. Fear of the unknown and night, we seek solace through fire’s light. Born to breathe air, yet with false wings we fly…Dominating the earth which we become when we die. Our soul while contrained continues to struggle, til eternally released from the mortal coil.

After this, I grappled with the fact that I lost control over reality the moment I shook hands with the laughing man. A hollow horror arose as the dominant emotion and, and now I too would be crying had I any eyes to see with.
