Night on the Sun

Haru looked up, the sun gazed down upon him, trying to beat his eyes in submission, he quickly looked away, and buried his face in his hands.

“Why are we so unable to look upon something so beautiful?” He wondered, taking a deep sigh.

A flurry of ships raced above him, most were merchant frigates, however the odd military craft could be seen checking the perimeter, Haru had heard from a local trader that piracy had taken a large increase lately, it wouldn’t be surprising if that was what they were looking for. However, Haru didn’t have time to ponder such things, as he was cut off by two sharp beeps; he looked down at his watch, and checked the time, myriad of numbers projected themselves into the air, Haru scanned them, and yet out a yelp in surprise.

“It’s this time already?!”

He scoured the landscape, seeing nothing of interest apart from the vast expanse of rock which occupied the moon. He must of wandered too far, as only a few minutes ago he was sipping coffee in a local restaurant.
